MyEllevate

MyEllevate

WHAT it is:

The MyEllevate™ is a facial rejuvenation procedure that targets drooping skin around the neck. It is a simple, one-step option to get your jawline contour back.

HOW it's done:

The MyEllevate™ uses tiny incisions (1mm) to mold and shape the structures underneath your skin and a light guided suture system (ICLED) to place a support system around the platysma muscle and glands under the skin. The central platysma bands are lysed initially and the skin is separated from the underlying structures. The suture then re-suspends the glands, muscles and ligaments of the central neck and elevates the structures to define and strengthen the jawline.

WHAT to expect:

Slight swelling and bruising in the treated areas.

Temporary tightening and dimpling of the skin.

AWAKE or ASLEEP:

Stay awake with local anesthesia and happy pills.

RECOVERY, RESULTS & FREQUENCY:

24 hours

Long-term fix! Results last for 5 years.

PRE-OP instructions:

Have a light breakfast 60-90 minutes prior to coming into the office.

Once you’re here, we’ll take photos and you’ll be given a cozy gown, an oral electrolyte, an antibiotic, anti-nausea medication, and a light oral sedative.

POST-OP instructions:

Rest is helpful after the procedure.

Activity that increases your pulse or heart rate may open vessels leading to bleeding, hematoma, additional bruising, swelling and the need to return to surgery to control bleeding.

Do not engage in vigorous exercise or sports for at least 2 weeks or until approved by your physician.

If medication is prescribed, take the medications as indicated.

You may take Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen for discomfort.

There should be minimal discomfort.

Discomfort may be relieved by ice packs or acetaminophen per your physician’s orders.

There may be drainage from your incisions. This is normal and may last several days. You may place gauze sponges inside your compression garment to absorb any drainage.

If a compression garment is recommended, keep absorbent dressing or garment on for 24 hours, and then remove.

The effects of the sun are damaging to the skin. Exposing the treated area to sun, tanning beds may result in increased scarring, color change, and poor healing.

Do not use perfume or makeup in the treated area for 5-7 days.

Do not shave in the treated area for 5-7 days or until tenderness is gone.

Apply antibiotic ointment to the incision per physician’s orders.

Follow all physician instructions carefully as this is essential for the success of your outcome.

It is important that you make all follow-up appointments.
