WHAT IS MENOPAUSAL MAKEOVER?

A Menopausal Makeover consists of a specialized set of procedures designed to counteract the physical effects of menopause on the breasts, face, and body.

THE
WHAT

ARE YOU A CANDIDATE?

Individuals seeking a Menopausal Makeover are those facing the physical challenges associated with menopause. These may include concerns such as weight gain, excess skin, changes in breast shape, and facial sagging and volume loss.

THE HOW

hey

HOW IT'S DONE:

Breasts: During menopause, breast glands are replaced by fatty tissue, leading to changes like loss of shape and potential sagging. Corrective procedures such as a Breast Lift, Reduction, Augmentation, or a combination of these treatments can address these concerns on an individual basis.

Body: Menopause brings inevitable weight gain due to hormonal changes. Procedures like Liposuction, Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck), Body Lift, Back Lift, and Brachioplasty (Arm Lift) are employed to address issues related to fatty tissue, loose skin, and muscle tightening.

Face: Menopausal changes in the face and neck, such as sagging skin, deflation, fatty deposits, swelling, and collagen loss, can be addressed through noninvasive therapies like Moxi, Broadband Light Therapy, PRF, Morpheus8 and Injectables. For areas that need more correction, we can perform in-office procedures such FaceTite, Brow Lift, Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Lift), Neck Liposuction, and Zoom Neck Lift, tailored to specific areas of concern.

RESULTS, RECOVERY, FREQUENCY

Recovery times for a Menopausal Makeover vary according to the surgeries performed and if they are performed together. In general, a full recovery can take up to 6 weeks. You can expect to have a long-term/permanent fix if you maintain a healthy lifestyle.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

You may experience temporary pain, soreness and numbness of the skin around your incision.

Maximum discomfort will occur the first few days.

You will have bruising and swelling of the abdomen and back. The majority of bruising and swelling will subside in 6-8 weeks.

You will leave the operation with drainage tubes. Expect soreness, numbness/tingling and swelling in areas of liposuction. This may last for 6-9 months.

You may feel tired for several weeks or months.

Begin your stool softener on the day prior to surgery to avoid constipation.

POST-OP INSTRUCTIONS

You may shower in 48 hours after your operation, but no soaking in a tub.

Depending on the procedure, we recommend compression garments stay on except when in shower. Do not remove steri-strips. They may come off naturally at 2 weeks. When they start to peel off, they are easier to remove in the shower.

Record drain output (milliliters) every 12 hours

Keep incisions clean and inspect daily for signs of infection.

Wear abdominal binder at all times.

Compression garments are helpful to reduce swelling from liposuction

May pad incision with dressings for comfort.

Avoid exposing scars to sun for at least 12 months.

Always use a strong sunblock, if sun exposure is unavoidable (SPF 30 or greater).

Begin scar therapy approximately 2 weeks after your operation
