AUTO- AUGMENTATION BREAST LIFT

AUTO-AUGMENTATION BREAST LIFT

DR. EFFIE POLITIS

TAMPA, FL

WHAT IS AN AUTO-AUGMENTATION BREAST LIFT?

An Auto-Augmentation Breast Lift, unlike a traditional Breast Lift, is a surgical procedure that uses the excess tissue, that is typically tossed out, and repurposes it to reshape, volumize and retain the patient’s current breast size. This procedure has a more subtle result that is perfect for a breast augmentation without implants.

THE WHAT

ARE YOU A CANDIDATE?

Candidates for ann Auto-Augmentation Breast Lift are those who are bothered by the feeling that their breasts sag, have lost shape and volume, have a flatter, elongated shape or are pendulous, have nipples that fall below the crease and/or point downward, have stretched skin and enlarged areolas, and or/ have one breast lower than the other.

THE HOW

HOW IT'S DONE:

An Auto-Augmentation Brest Lift is a procedure done in the OR under general anesthesia. Dr. Politis starts out by making a T or anchor-shaped incision on the lower part of the breast. After the epidermis is removed and the tissue is adjusted, the excess breast skin and tissue (that is normally discarded from the breast during a traditional breast lift) is carefully tucked back into the breast. From there the tissue is rearranged and sutured in place to produce a more youthful-looking shape and appearance in the breasts.

RESULTS, RECOVERY, FREQUENCY

It takes 3 weeks to recover from an Auto-Augmentation Breast Lift. You can expect results to last 10-15 years. You are welcome to come back during or after that time to receive another lift.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

You may experience temporary pain, soreness, and numbness of breast skin and/or incision discomfort.

Maximum discomfort will occur the first few days.

You will have bruising and swelling of the breasts. The majority of bruising and swelling will subside in 6-8 weeks.

You will leave the operation with an ACE bandage or bra around your chest.
You may not have sensation in the nipples. This may be permanent but usually returns to normal in 6-9 months.

Your first menstruation following surgery may cause breast swelling and pain.

You may feel tired for several weeks or months.
