APPOINTMENT

WHAT it is:

EZ PRF Gel or EZGEL is an all-natural filler that uses your own blood to improve deflated cheeks, skin tone, under-eye hollows, chin creases and hair loss. Similar to PRF, it works by using platelet-rich-fibrin to stimulate a healing response in the skin at a cellular level.

HOW it's done:

First, a small amount of blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to isolate the platelet-rich fibrin (growth factors), similar to a PRF treatment. Dr. Politis then takes it a step farther by heating and cooling the PRF at specific temperatures that allows it to form a gel-like consistency. The EZGEL is then inserted into a syringe and injected into the skin.

WHAT to expect:

Swelling and bruising at the injection site is normal after this procedure.

You can expect to feel the fibrin clot under the skin. This will slowly dissolve over 5-7 days.

AWAKE or ASLEEP:

Stay awake with topical numbing.

RECOVERY, RESULTS & FREQUENCY:

No downtime.

Temporary fix! A series of treatments should be performed 6-8 weeks apart. Results between treatments will last 1-4 weeks. Long-term effects, such as skin tightening, collagen production and enhanced skin quality, may take up to 3-4 months to be noticed and can last from 6-12 months.

PRE-OP instructions:

For injections: Come in as is! You will be numbed in office.

For microneedling: A numbing prescription will be sent to you. Apply it 45-60 minutes before your appointment.

POST-OP instructions:

Avoid applying ice or heat to the treated area for 72 hours after your procedure

Avoid taking anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen for one week

Blood-thinning herbs, supplements, or vitamins for 3-4 days post-procedure should be avoided (Fish oil, CoQ10, Turmeric)

You may shower after your procedure but don’t take a hot bath or go to a sauna for the first few days post-procedure

Avoid aggressive washing of the treated area.

Avoid consumption of any alcoholic beverages for the first week post-procedure

Limit caffeine consumption for the first week post-procedure

Avoid smoking
