Recovery After Plastic Surgery

Recovery after surgery is different for everyone. It is definitely an individual event we’re not all the same so we’re not all going to heal the same. We do offer enhanced recovery protocols with our practice where we’ve designed it in a way to minimize the need for narcotic medication between the opioid crisis in this country and us knowing that when you’re, you know, taking opioid narcotics you tend to be sleeping and not getting up and not moving and we know those are things you need to do in order to heal. So we do an enhanced protocol that starts before surgery and how we prepare you to go to surgery, intraoperatively, the medications that you’re getting are tailored to need less narcotics afterwards and then we put you on a cocktail if you will, of medications, post-operatively that require minimal narcotics. Most of our patients if they take any narcotics at all only take them day one or day two post-op and then they’re easily switched over to just ibuprofen tylenol type medications.
