WHAT it is:
Skin Retreat is the perfect getaway for your skin. Just like us, our skin needs time to heal and find balance. This treatment combines Morpheus8, Moxi and BBL to stimulate, prevent, heal and correct the skin from past and future damage. It’s main focus will be to tighten itself up, find harmony in its overall tone and strengthen itself to combat aging.
HOW it’s done:
Morpheus8:
It works by using a fractional device with programmable penetration depth and energy delivery for the treatment of fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, and general skin tone. The 24 coated pins penetrate into the subdermal tissue, coagulating the fat and contracting connective tissue. Simultaneously, directional RF energy generates bulk sub-necrotic heating in the dermis.
Moxi:
It is a non-ablative fractionated laser that converts electrical energy into light (woah, science). When converted to light it then targets pigment by creating tiny, tiny, TINY micro injuries in the superficial top layer of skin. These micro injuries stimulate the dermal repair process, revitalizing tone and texture and reducing the appearance of brown and red spots caused by sun damage or aging.
BBL:
BBL delivers light energy to gently heat the upper layers of your skin and increasing the production of the collagen, which leads to tighter, firmer skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to regenerate. In addition, the light energy penetrates deep into the skin to boost your body’s natural ability to fight the appearance of aging.
WHAT to expect:
The treated area may be extremely warm for 1-2 hours after the treatment. Warmth may continue for 12-24 hours after the treatment.
Redness and swelling are normal and expected. Redness generally increases in intensity for the first few days after treatment with day 3 usually being the most intense. Redness can persist for up to 7 days depending on the intensity treatment.
MENDs (microscopic epidermal necrotic debris) will appear on the 2nd or 3rd day after treatment as tiny dark spots and bronzed appearance to the treated skin.
AWAKE or ASLEEP:
Stay awake with topical numbing.
RECOVERY, RESULTS & FREQUENCY:
1-3 weeks.
PRE-OP instructions:
A numbing prescription will be sent to you. Apply it 90 minutes before your appointment.
POST-OP instructions:
Cleanse the skin two times a day with plain, lukewarm water and a gentle cleanser, beginning
the morning after the treatment. Use your hands and gentle patting motions.
DO NOT rub, scrub, use an exfoliant or skin care brush such as a Clarisonic on the treated area.
Moisturizer should be applied generously with clean hands over treated area and reapplied whenever your skin feels dry. DO NOT apply any other products that were not instructed by your doctor – eg. essential oils, coconut oil, etc.
Sunscreen is a MUST and should be used daily beginning the day after treatment and used consistently for up to 3 months post procedure. Use a physical sunscreen with Broadband UVA and UVB protection and a SPF of 30. Ensure to reapply during sun exposure.
